NHS Fife Health Board Elections.

On Thu evening I was elected to NHS Fife Health Board as one of the Board's first elected members. This is an experiment from the Scottish Government both in Fife and Dumfries & Galloway in having elected members as part of the local Health Board. The full list of those elected in Fife can be found at http://www.fifedirect.org.uk/news/index.cfm?fuseaction=news.display&objectid=23C85ED6-DA24-0179-140D26551F06F7EB
I was well pleased when the list of first preferences were shown and I was in 3rd place. Even after the adjustments made as those at the bottom of the list were dropped and their second preferences were distributed still left me in 4th place. Maybe all these years of being involved in the area of Health & Wellbeing as well as the many networking groups, such as the Small Business Club, I have attended have payed off as many people have told me "Yours was the only name I recognised, so I just voted for you".
My most grateful thanks to all those who did bother to vote. I hope I can make some changes for the better. We shall have to wait and see.
The next stage is an induction/training programme on Mon & Tue in Glasgow. It will give me a chance to meet up with most of the others in Fife as well as those from Dumfries & Galloway. It's a full programme and we've got homework to do before we get there.
I'll tell you all about it next week.

Courier Husting and "justice4hollie"

The Courier and FSB have been holding a series of hustings around the constituencies in Tayside and Fife (apart from Kirkcaldy because GB wouldn't attend). In the report the following day it has been the usual practice to show a picture of all the candidates seated at the table. Last week at Dunfermline the "justice4hollie" sign was clearly seen on the picture of the candidates.
On Tuesday evening I was standing in for our candidate in Glenrothes, prior to the hustings I placed the sign on the table in front of me. The chairman Steve Bargeton asked who was Hollie. The standard answer is "Go google and find out the story" Maybe he did, maybe he didn't, maybe someone else from the Courier did, but when the report was published in the Courier next day there was no picture of all the candidates, so no sign of the Hollie sign, yet plenty of photo's were taken by the Courier photographer of all the candidates all together and individually.
A coincidence? As Kenny Dalgleish used to say "Maybe's Aye, Maybe's No?

USA Global GMO Cover-up

I'm a fan of Mike Adams (no relation) the Health Ranger and his Natural News website.
His latest story is on the USA and how it is attempting to outlaw non-GMO labeling of foods, thereby making it illegal for a non-GMO food product to even claim "non-GMO" on the label. If the U.S. succeeds in this global GMO cover-up, the FDA could seize any products in the USA that make "non-GMO" claims. Additionally, the USA could file lawsuits through the World Trade Organization against any country that allows non-GMO labeling or claims on its products. This includes us here in the UK and the rest of Europe.
Please have a look at the full story using this link
http://www.naturalnews.com/028716_GMOs_food_labels.html
There is included within a petition to Secretaries of State (Clinton), Agriculture (Vilsack), and Health and Human Services (Sebelius) to urge them to halt the USA's nefarious attempts to install a global GMO deception. Please take the time to send this to them to let them know that people outside of the USA are aware and watching their action.

BE CAREFUL HOW YOU VOTE

A timely message to you all before you vote on Thursday- think carefully before putting that cross on the ballot paper. Not all parties are as Straight Talking as UKIP

While walking down the street one day a "Member of Parliament" is tragically hit by a truck and dies.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
'Welcome to heaven,' says St. Peter. 'Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you.'
'No problem, just let me in,' says the man.
'Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from higher up. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.'
'Really, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,' says the MP.
'I'm sorry, but we have our rules.'
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell. The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.
They play a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and champagne.
Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly & nice guy who has a good time dancing and telling jokes. They are having such a good time that before he realizes it, it is time to go.
Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises....
The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens on heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him.
'Now it's time to visit heaven.'
So, 24 hours pass with the MP joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.
'Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.'
The MP reflects for a minute, then he answers: 'Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.'
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.
Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.
He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.
The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder. 'I don't understand,' stammers the MP. 'Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time.. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable.
What happened?'

The devil looks at him, smiles and says, 'Yesterday we were campaigning... ...

Today you voted.'

Why Socialism Fails

Some thing strike a note and you feel you have to pass them on. This item below is so right, a clear and simple demonstration of why socialism will ultimately fail.

As the late Adrian Rogers said, "you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".
All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A...

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that. It may be Obama's plan in the USA but here it is the EU and their supporting quizlings, Brown, Cameron, Clegg and Salmond who are promising the EU Socialist Utopia

Remember, there is a test coming up. The general election in 2010 when Nu Labour, Blue Labour and the LibDims all try to entice us to follow the EU socialist path! (Oh and the EU SNP as well)
The only choice for real change is the EU Free UKIP

Aberdeen South Hustings report (23 April 2010)

I got this great report from John Taylor who is Robert Green's reporter and thought more people should know about it. Although the event is advertised on the BBC North East website there is no report of the Friday night meeting.

It will be interesting to see how the BBC stop the candidate's representative getting into the next hustings on Wed 28 Apr 10 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/scotland/8637188.stm

John's Report.

Scotland Against Crooked Lawyers (SACL) bid to win the Aberdeen South constituency received another huge boost last night when the party overcame the odds to score a decisive victory in the first hustings of the campaign. None of the 100 + people in attendance at Peterculter Parish Church left the event in any doubt that the Hollie Greig scandal is the biggest election story – not just in Aberdeen South but throughout the UK.

Robert Green was unable to attend for obvious reasons yet the establishment still took extreme measures to try to prevent the SACL voice being heard. They clearly now realise that Robert Green is not a “one man band” and that Hollie’s Army represents an incredible force.

The first publicity about the hustings was released by the BBC around 2330 on Thursday 22nd April – twenty hours before it was due to take place. Clearly the mainstream parties all knew about the event a long time before this and the intention was that the audience would consist solely of their own supporters. They clearly underestimated the strength, determination and brainpower of Hollies Army.

SACL first heard about this event, quite by accident, at 1130 on Friday morning. Yet within 8 hours we had managed to mobilise Hollie’s Army and had 12 of our supporters in the audience in the church hall in the prosperous suburb of Peterculter.

SACL’ s Regional Co-ordinator, John Taylor, arrived at the church hall at 1915 and asked to speak to the event organiser. John explained the reasons why Robert was unable to attend in person and asked that, in the interests of democracy, SACL Chief Election Strategist, Adam Tindall, be allowed equal billing with the other candidates

The organiser was clearly flummoxed by this and tried to fob us off by saying that the debate would be on “Westminster Issues”. We asked if he would ask the other participants if they would object to the SACL being given equal billing. (The other participants were the sitting Labour MP, Anne Begg, plus the parliamentary candidates from Conservatives, LibDems and SNP, and a representative of the Green Party).

The organiser went away and returned to confirm that the other participants had unanimously agreed that SACL should NOT be given equal billing. We insisted that, at the very minimum, the presence of an official SACL representative should be announced and that he be allowed to state our manifesto.

The debate began with the main participants being allowed 60 seconds each to introduce themselves. The attendance of the SACL representative was announced although Adam was not given the opportunity to speak at this stage. Some members of the audience appeared to find the SACL party name amusing.

The so-called “debate” duly commenced. Some members of Hollie’s Army reported that they felt physically sick as a result of having to listen to the hypocritical hogwash of the mainstream politicians and their placemen in the audience.

During a debate on Afghanistan, John Taylor asked Anne Begg for her views on the suitability of 70 year old Dr Ian Oliver to hold the position of Head of Justice and Security in Helmand province. Dr Oliver was Chief Constable of Grampian Police between 1990 and 1998 before resigning in disgrace. Miss Begg claimed to be unaware that Dr Oliver now held this position and would not comment on his suitability or otherwise. A subsequent google search for “Anne Begg” and “Afghanistan” produced over 1,000 results.

An hour or so into the debate SACL gained the impression that we may not be given the chance to speak. Adam Tindall grabbed the microphone and told the audience that the candidates had denied SACL equal billing and that we had been promised that we would be allowed to read out our manifesto. The organiser, somewhat sheepishly, said that we would get our chance to do this at the end of the debate.

When the main debate ended Adam was given the microphone and he delivered a barnstorming speech which electrified the audience. He clearly stated the allegations made by Hollie Greig, our concerns over the death of Roy Greig and the establishment’s efforts to cover the story up. The reason why Robert Green was unable to attend was clearly explained and the audience were invited to “Google Hollie Greig”.

One did not need to be an expert in body language, to realise that the candidates, particularly Anne Begg and the SNP candidate, were extremely uncomfortable at this turn of events. Unfortunately for them, there was worse to come.

Adam passed the microphone to “Mr Scotland”, star of the Paul Drockton Show, who relayed his own personal experiences of institutionalised child abuse and injustice in Aberdeen. He then went on to explain to the audience how unhelpful Anne Begg had been over the course of many meetings. By this stage, Miss Begg was looking decidedly queasy and she attempted to stammer out some response. The organiser came to her rescue by suggesting that Miss Begg and “Mr Scotland” continue their discussion after the meeting had ended.

The debate closed with the main participants being allowed a couple of minutes each to make closing comments. There was frequent spontaneous heckling in response to their hypocrisy and refusal to discuss the big issues.

As the hall emptied, Hollie’s Army split into two battalions. One battalion stationed themselves at the exit and politely handed out leaflets to those leaving. No-one refused a leaflet and by the end of the evening more than a hundred had been handed out, not only at the meeting but at various pubs and takeaways in Peterculter.

The second battalion took it upon themselves to peacefully engage in some “direct democracy” with the would-be MP’s who by this stage were squirming like pigs heading for the slaughterhouse. The Conservative and Green representatives made a sharp exit and were quickly followed by the ashen faced SNP candidate, Mark McDonald , who blurted out an obviously pre-prepared statement “The SNP will not be making any comment on this matter”.

The wheelchair-bound Anne Begg claimed that she had no recollection of ever meeting “Mr Scotland”. Strangely her helper remembered him well. Miss Begg was heckled as she made her exit.

The LibDem candidate, John Sleigh, has high hopes of winning the seat and performed impressively in the controlled environment of the debate. However when faced with the peaceful questioning of Hollie’s Army he gave a good impression of a rabbit caught in car headlights.. When an SACL leaflet was handed to him he recoiled as if fearing that he would be contaminated with bubonic plague if he touched this A5 sheet. He was captured on video stating that he was “too busy” to look into Hollie’s case before being hustled away.

All-in-all a quite extraordinary night which continues the unstoppable momentum hurtling Robert Green towards Westminster.

Wannabe MP Banned from AberdeenConstituency

At last one part of the Scottish media is mentioning Hollie Greig and Robert Green. Could this be the crack in the wall of the Scottish establishment dam trying to hold back information on Hollie.

Robert Green Gagged Even Tighter

Robert Green, Holly Grieg adviser and SACL Parliamentary Candidate for Aberdeen South was arrested on the 15th April when he reported to Warrington Police Station as part of his bail conditions and taken to Aberdeen where he once again was taken to Stonehaven court where he was given the choice, stay in custody or agree to new bail conditions. He signed the new conditions to get out of custody but unfortunately he couldn't read what he was signing as he had left his reading glasses in his car when he was arrested. He had pointed out to the arresting officers that his glasses were in the car and could he collect them but after phoning a "higher authority" in Aberdeen they were told "No, just bring him up".

Although he had not breached his original bail conditions, new conditioned were added that not only was he not allowed to publicise the case in Scotland but also restricted from publishing items on the internet and other social media. It look like MacAskill's Gagging Amendments to the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Bill are being applied. It never fails to surprise me that all those in Holyrood who were alerted to this before these amendments were debated in Parliament, did NOTHING to stop it.
Now Robert has been gagged even tighter it is up to all of us to get this injustice out to the public and action taken.
One thing the Scottish Tourist Board has been keeping quiet about is the effect this case is having on Scotland's tourist economy. Many of those in the USA and other countries are now saying they won't be visiting Scotland if this is the sort of justice system we have, if we cover up such treatment of our children. Have you got a friend or relative reliant on the tourist industry? Maybe you should be passing this information on to them. It's costing them money and maybe even their job.
However even after all that people in the Aberdeen South constituency have signed his candidate nomination papers and these should be lodged on Monday.

Robert Green Re-Arrested

I received this from a contact earlier.
"Robert Green, prospective Scotland Against Crooked Lawyers (Justice for Holly Grieg) election candidate for Aberdeen South, has "gone missing". He failed to appear for a scheduled radio interview. Robert was previously charged with "breach of the peace" on February 12th, the date on which he originally planned to launch his campaign. Foul play by the authorities is strongly suspected." This was then followed up by "It has been confirmed that Robert Green is currently in police custody in Stonehaven"

Having phoned Grampian police non emergency number on 0845 600 5700 the following conversation ensued:

Hallo, Grampian Police Non-Emergency help line, Juliet speaking.

Hallo, Juliet. I have been informed that Robert Green has been re-arrested. Can you tell me if you have a Robert Green in custody.

The standard reply was "I will read out a statement and then I will put the phone down. Thank you for your enquiry. We cannot confirm or deny who we have in custody."

Is this an attempt to stop Robert standing in the election? I think so and so do many others. What can you do to help. Phone the number above. You'll get the same answer, but they have to log it. Last time, because of the numbers calling, they let him out on bail instead of keeping him in custody as planned. Then we try and find out when he is coming before the court. When we find out lets get as many a possible to be at the court with our banners. Stand up for Holly. Stand up for Robert
If you are in Aberdeen South and want to help then contact John Taylor johnxtaylor@live.co.uk as he is still lookng for a few assentors on the nomination papers

Chicken Gordon ducks out of constituency hustings

As in 2005 Gordon Brown shows his contempt for the other candidates and arrogance to the voters by ducking out of a hustings in his constituency of Kirkcaldy & Cowdenbeath.
Fife Branch of the Federation of Small Businesses has organised hustings in each of the Fife constituencies but the one planned for Kirkcaldy has been called off after Chicken Gordon would not attend. As the "star" attraction wasn't going to be there so the Courier's hustings chairman Steve Bargeton decided it wasn't good enough for him either. So the whole hustings have been cancelled depriving the other candidates of having the opportunity to put their case to the FSB members. The chance for me, the UKIP candidate, to let the FSB members know that we can reduce the burden on small businesses when we exit the EU and get rid of so much of the un-necessary one-size-fits-all EU regulation restricting the small business.
UKIP's policy for small business will be published in the next few days so keep an eye out for it at http://www.ukip.org/content/ukip-policies/1532-small-business
If you do meet up with Chicken Gordon ask him why he's frightened to meet the other candidates on the hustings in Kirkcaldy.

BBC Misinformation or just sloppy researchers

BBC have been quick to advertise their Election 2010 website now the election has been officiallly called. It's a pity that the information they put up about UKIP policy on Afghanistan & Defence is wrong. They claim that UKIP "would withdraw from NATO" yet the UKIP Defence Policy clearly states

"UKIP’s Defence Vision recommendations:

To defend our national interests, maintain the NATO alliance, support our traditional partners. To disentangle our forces from the EU To keep our independence by retaining – always – ultimate command and control over our national forces"

You can read the full policy at http://www.ukip.org/content/ukip-policies/1453-defence-ukip-policy

Is this deliberate BBC disinformation or just sloppy researching?

Good Gordon & Labour Party video

As we run up to the General Election have a look at this great video which has been sent to me. People of Kirkcaldy & Cowdenbeath help the UK get rid of him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPI1US7g6YI&feature=related

At the 2005 General Election the Labour Party along with the rest of the LibLabCONsensus all promised a referendum on the EU Constitution now the Lisbon Treaty. When taken to court for failing to hold the referendum, Gordon Brown's barrister said "Manifesto Pledges are not subject to legitmate expectations" If that is so then can you believe anything you will see on the election manifestos of these three parties? Voters in Kirkcaldy & Cowdenbeath, remembers this when you vote next month. You can help put things right. Vote him out.

Holly Grieg Demo 1 Apr 10

Well my prayers were answered and we did have fine weather in Edinburgh on Thu 1 Apr 10 at the Holly Greig Demo in Parliament Square.
I met quite a number of good and caring people willing to make the effort to get the message out about the treatment and injustice to Holly.
There was a good turnout from all around Scotland with about 50 to 60 people there with a variety of leaflets, plackards and signs. There were a few supporters with videos and cameras so there should be some pics on some of the websites soon.
The next demo is planned for Sat 1 May again at Parliament Square starting 1pm so as it's a weekend there is no excuse not to be there. So why not bring a few friends with you.
I was great to see the billboard http://is.gd/bcWTh and hopefully it will be there again on 1 May.
See some photos of those attending here http://is.gd/bcVLg and http://is.gd/bcVSV

Nigel on "Have I got News for you"

It should be well worth watching UKIP's Nigel Farage MEP who will be appearing on BBC2’s satirical ‘Have I Got News For You’ programme tonight (Thursday 1st April) BBC1 at 9.30pm. I'm not sure whether he's on Ian Hislop’s team or Paul Merton’s, but apparently he came through with honour intact and good humour reigning on all sides).

Nigel will also be on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Any Questions?’ this Friday 2nd April, at 8pm. The programme is repeated, followed by: ‘Any Answers?’ on the following Saturday 3rd April. Approx 1pm I believe, but you’ll have to check the exact timings.

Global Warming in Kirkcaldy

As the snow and sleet obliterates Kirkcaldy it's nice to see the council parks and gardens department is preparing for the global warming predicted by the discredited IPCC.
After ripping out the established bushes and heathers on the roundabout at the Oriel Rd/Forth Avenue because the plants were getting a bit big and obscuring some traffic on the roundabout, instead of cutting back on the established bushes and shrubs, they stripped out the whole roundabout and have planted PALM TREES. I hope this has been paid for by one of the business "roundabout sponsors" instead of coming out of our council taxes.

Cracks in the Press Denial

The Press has for a long time tried to deny the UKIP message of the cost and dangers of EU control of Great Britain. However, the Daily Express seems to be moving in our direction judging by their comment column in today's (Sat 27 Mar 10) paper. UKIP Party Leader visits Kirkcaldy

Voters from across Scotland gathered in Kirkcaldy to hear some straight talking from the good Lord Pearson of Rannoch, UK Independence Party Leader, on Sunday 21 March.

Following on from UKIP’s successful Spring Conference the previous Friday Lord Pearson was making his first public appearance in Scotland since his election as Party Leader and was welcomed to the JRD Trust Theatre by UKIP’s Parliamentary Candidate for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath, Peter Adams.

Emphasising many of the points he has been raising over recent weeks Lord Pearson spoke of

The credit crunch and the Parliamentary expense scandal, which have turned the people’s feelings from disdain to anger, and now, amongst many, to hatred. Indeed, the focus groups we have recently commissioned show that there is one deep common attitude, shared by nearly everyone we consulted, and that is anger and distrust of the political class. To these feelings we must add frustration; frustration because the British people feel that there is nothing they can do to make any difference; that whatever they do, they can’t change the system. And, of course, they are right about that too, which may be why some 40% of them no longer bother to vote in General Elections. Modern Governments are elected by 40% of the 60% who do bother to vote, or 24% of the electorate, and those Governments now make only some 20% of our national law. The rest is made is Brussels, where the Government has some 9% of the votes, in a secretive system which renders the House of Commons – for which the people are allowed to vote- wholly irrelevant.

Some voters ask, What about the “wasted vote”? The answer to that is that if you want more of the same, more of the LibLabConsensus, if you want to make absolutely sure that nothing changes, then you vote for one of them. If, on the other hand, you want to start the forces of change, then the only sensible thing to do is to vote UKIP. Even voting for the SNP here in Scotland won’t change things as they are as pro EU as the others. Yesterday in Aviemore Alex Salmond spoke about cuts we could make to save our economy but like the others failed to mention the £16billion saving we could make by leaving the EU. A vote for the SNP is still a vote to be run from Brussels.

Following the speech questions were taken from the floor and once again the audience was given straight talking answers by Lord Pearson who unfortunately due to the BA strike had to leave earlier than planned to catch his flight back to London.

Paul Henke, UKIPScotland’s Chairman introduced UKIP’s Scottish Parliamentary Candidates for the forthcoming General Election and the meeting closed with a rousing speech by Paul Nuttall MEP the UK Independence Party’s Chairman who highlighted UKIP's commitment to improving direct democracy with our Swiss Style referendum policy. Letting the people have their say in the big issues affecting people both nationally and locally.
